My first book is sitting on a desk somewhere at a publisher awaiting assessment. The manuscript has been in the hands of the potential publisher for five months now. Needless to say the wait is becoming troublesome. Patience has always been a virtue of mine but the virtue is wearing thin. My mentor has assured me this is not unusual. He apparently has a book in the publisher limbo that has languished now for a year. Now that is the definition of patience.
